From the 1930 Seward Almanac...
"At last it has come! Seward's first graduation. The forty-four students who will leave Seward this June are her first graduates, her staunch pioneers... When in later years, they sometimes sweep aside the cobwebs of memory, may they recall with happiness and pride that they were Seward's first alumni."
"Some of them are continuing their education in college; others are entering the business world. Perhaps, in the years to come, we shall see their names in 'Who's Who.' Perhaps we will read their works, and swell with pride as we think that they, too, went to Seward. We shall hear of them as members of the professional and business worlds, as 'butchers, bakers, or candle-stick makers.' Whatever they do, success to all of them."
